
Mitchel Sorin
AIA, LEED AP
Mitchel has over 35 years of professional architectural experience with custom residential clients as well as with a variety of commercial, educational, and community projects. He is a U.S. Green Building Council LEED Accredited Professional with experience in passive solar design, natural daylighting, and other sustainable building technologies. Mitchel has been a member of the American Institute of Architect for over 30 years, a member of the Asheville Chapter of the American Institute of Architects for almost 20 years and was a member of the WNC Green Building Council for over 10 years. He is a former adjunct Interior Design Department faculty member at Western Carolina University and served for three years as the Sustainable Technologies Instructor at Asheville-Buncombe Technical Community College and was that program’s first instructor. Mitchel is also an avid hiker: if he is not in the office, he is likely scaling a mountain.
