Felipe Santander

PRINCIPAL, AIA, LEED AP BD+C

Felipe has over ten years of diverse experience in sustainable design and ecological architecture in Western North Carolina. His portfolio includes award-winning designs in both Chile and the U.S. and wide-ranging projects, from small boutique hotels to astronomical observatories.

Felipe is passionate about thoughtful, custom residential design and working closely with all clients and supporting their vision. Previous to joining Legerton Architecture, Felipe worked as a project manager for the recognized design firm Shelter Collective, and he also led the design team for Earthtone Builders.
Before moving to Asheville in 2015, Felipe worked as a landscape designer in San Francisco, California. There, he received his permaculture design certification, which refined his focus on sustainable architecture that responds to the surrounding landscape.

Felipe is originally from Santiago, Chile, where he got his architecture degree and he worked for the renowned architecture firm, WMR Arquitectos.
